It had been a week since the sun had last shone, or the wind had blown. Skies cold and grey had dominated.
I'd woken with a start and knew immediately what needed to be done.
Donning my Fjallraven jacket to fend off the invasive chill, we walked, briskly.
I pondered the reluctance to embrace tidal energy, the enthusiasm to seemingly shed every well paid job in Wales, and the desire to construct electricity guzzling data centres.
But most importantly I pondered what song Mr Springsteen would open the first night at Anfield with? After all, nothing else really matters.
We arrived at Humble just as the doors opened. It was a Sunday, and soon a flood of customers surrounded us as we sat chatting in our comfy chairs.
I wouldn't normally have a "full breakfast", but clearly thoughts of Springsteen in Liverpool had whetted my appetite. And very nice it was too, no complaints, and i do love sourdough toast. Possibly a little steep at £12 per portion, but hey we live in crazy times and I'm sure we'll soon be taxed every time the sun shines.
The cappuccinos were nice, I had two. The pot of tea huge.
We'd walked, but parking is easy and the staff very friendly. Be warned there are cakes, but I'll save those for another day.
As we walked home I thought, "I wonder what the encours will be and will my knees stand three hours of jumping around"? I suspect they shall.

Humble's tapas menu is definitely worth a visit to experience it. The steak was cooked perfectly, as was the belly pork. Enjoyed the kale salad and truffle fries to accompany it. The calamari was equally good - so I was told. I like the setting but didn't give 5 as was quiet - which actually is a good thing in many ways and also partially our fault as we went late. Only open Saturday for early evenings for this tapas menu so book ahead.
Open most days for great brunch style food and coffee.

First time at Humble and it didn't disappoint. Eggs Benedict were perfectly delicious and I would highly recommend. The staff were very friendly and gave good recommendations. Will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu.

Staff is just great, they literally do everything they can for you, and quality of food and coffi is second to none!

New place. Roomy. Lot of thought gone in to ambience. Coffee as well as tea excellent. Staff friendly and attentive. Toilet facilities well thought out.Will call again

Our first time here today. We ordered and received our drinks in good time, they were on the colder side but we didn't mind. We were eager to order our food but to be told that we had to wait as we were in a queue, which completely baffled us. We waited 20 minutes until our order was taken, which by that time we had finished our drinks. We then had to wait a further 20mins for our food to be cooked, so in total around 50 mins at the establishment before we ate, and it was mediocre at best. It was all very bizarre.

This was my first visit to Humble. The waitress who welcomed us and served us at the table was lovely. Unfortunately, my sister’s pancakes were just not up to the standard and we asked if there was an issue, as usually they’re great. The waitress who addressed the issue was rude, simple stating “yeah, that’s just the way they come”. We then went to pay and I asked “do we pay the bill here” at the counter, to which she snarkly responded “I don’t know where else you would pay it”. We requested if there could be anything done for the unsatisfactory pancakes and she told us we were rude and that she would be happy we did not return because she does not want rude customers. I deliver customer service qualification for my job and I have worked in hospitality so I would never be intentionally rude. I feel her attitude was off from the outset and perhaps there is a training need here. Unfortunate because the rest of the food was delicious and it’s a lovely cafe. A really shame that one bad attitude has tainted the experience

Please note not dog friendly. There is seating outside that you and the pup can sit at. The staff are very friendly and helpful and will bring.your order out to you so that you can look after the pooch.

Easily the best coffi shop in Wales. Food I'd amazing along with it's coffee. The extra cherry on top and what makes me come back time and time again is how warm and friendly the reception is from Rob and his staff. 5🌟

I can see that a new representative of Humble Coffi Co is going through the negative reviews and low star ratings. They are giving a more "humble" reaction than the previous representative, which were comically horrendous and certainly not how you should be responding as a company.
I gave a 1 star review and I am sticking to it. The same thing's I had issues with are the same things that I have read in other reviews of people's negative experiences at Humble Coffi Co.
I have visited several times. The wait for food is ridiculously long. Only the one time I actually managed to wait long enough for an order to be taken. I would assume that a lot of revenue is walking out of the door due to the system that you have in place. It should not take over 30mins to have your order taken. Not served. Taken.
On the occasion that I left my 1 star review, it was not only because of the food situation, but because the coffee order was wrong. My partner ordered an affogato, which was on a chalkboard on the wall, with a price and explaining what it was. This was pointed out to the waitress that took our order and yet, an espresso was received. Also, I ordered a decaf latte. I am breastfeeding. What I received was definitely fully caffeinated. I was rattling and had heart palpitations after drinking it. I have been extremely careful with my diet both during my pregnancy and during my time breastfeeding my child.
I will not be visiting again and I would encourage others to read all the reviews before attempting to be a customer at Humble Coffi Co.

Unfortunately I was left to wait for over 20 minutes before I decided to leave, to which no one acknowledged. The male employee took drinks orders from people who had arrived after myself and the taller lady in dungarees was on her phone behind the counter.
I wouldn’t usually write a negative review but this is not the first time this has happened. I would’ve usually said something but considering this is a norm, I frankly couldn’t be bothered for the interaction. I come back for the quality of food but I think following this I will be refraining.

Always a nice breakfast out in Humble and I’m always one to recommend it for anyone in the area. New summer menu out too.
It’s a bit pricier than your average cafe but there’s a lot of unique options, I am put off ordering certain dishes due to pricing though.
But what I stick with, avocado on toast with poached egg, is always delicious.
Lovely atmosphere as always, well decorated and I’m always willing to wake up early to get a table.

Poor attitude from staff, wrong order and when I took a cake out for takeaway they stamped it with a rude signage. The cake was for a 8 year old who saw the stamp... Won't be coming back for a while.
